Staff Accountant (Onsite)

Location: Lancaster, PA

Overview

A growing HVAC company is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This role will support day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, strong data integrity, and timely completion of accounting processes.

This is a fully onsite opportunity offering a salary range of $70,000 - $80,000, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
• Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting activities
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation
• Utilize Excel to analyze data, create reports, and improve processes
• Collaborate with operations and leadership to resolve accounting issues

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)

• Experience in construction, HVAC, or similar industry
• Exposure to ERP or accounting systems
